this was an interesting situation. i've had Justin boots before, and know some of the least expensive can have minor cosmetic quality issues. but i still like the brand. getting over the $150 mark i find the quality as good or better than most other bootmakers. given that, these SV2566 boots were just what i loved...great cowboy look with a medium round toe, thick distressed leather, and a very high heel. the only problem was when i went to the Justin website they had 1 great review and about 3 that really mentioned some major quality defects. i really wanted these boots, but that gave me a pause. further, i personally had never seen the heels peel, or the leather tear through, as these reviews stated. that, meaning my experience with Justin, and the fact i really loved how these looked, plus a nice discount by a retailer, got me to purchase. once i got them it was clear to me that the reviews knocking this boot were simply completely off the mark. i can't argue that they made up what they wrote, but the quality of this boot, the fit, the look, etc, were all as perfect as any Western boot as i've ever purchased, that includes some for $400. so if you come across those bad reviews on this boot, and they were on the Justin website of all places, take it from me not to believe them. i also wrote a review there on the Justin website stating what i've said here. i'm sure things happen, we've all gotten a bad example of something, but the quality, look, fit, etc of these tell me that this is a high quality boot, especially for the money. easily a $200 or more value that despite their great looks, could be used easily as a work boot. i love them!
